Emma qualified from Liverpool University in 2003 with a 2:1 degree in physiotherapy. Since graduation she has worked for Guy’s and Thomas’ and St George’s Hospital two of London’s largest teaching hospitals. Since 2005 she has specialised in musculoskeletal out-patients and orthopaedic physiotherapy. Her orthopaedic experience includes working for 8 months within a grade A trauma unit within the pelvic trauma team. This has given her great experience in rehabilitating complex, multi-trauma patients.
She has a wide range of experience treating and rehabilitating patients in many settings from a ward, the out-patient department, a gym, A&E clinics and the hydrotherapy pool. Her skills include; massage, manual techniques, trigger-pointing and taping. She also has extensive experience in class based exercise prescription for shoulder pain, core-stability training, post-operative Total Hip/Knee replacements and high level lower limb injuries and ACL re-constructions.
